About the role
FWD Life Philippines is seeking an Associate Legal Counsel to support its legal function across corporate and litigation matters. The role involves drafting, reviewing and negotiating legal documents while providing advice on regulatory compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, draft, review, negotiate and finalize proposals, contracts and other legal documents.
- Manage new and existing litigation matters, attend hearings and maintain tracking tools.
- Conduct thorough research of laws, regulations and jurisprudence to provide legal opinions.
- Draft board and committee meeting notices, agendas, minutes, corporate records and regulatory reports.
Required profile
- Admission to the Philippine Bar.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 3‑5 years of experience in a law firm handling labor and litigation matters.
- Experience in dispute resolution; contract review and corporate secretarial work is a plus.
- Ability to appear before the National Labor Relations Commission, Data Privacy Commission, Insurance Commission and regular courts.
