Associate Attorney – Litigation (Full-time, On-site)

About the role

HYG Law Office & Notary Public is looking for a full‑time, on‑site Associate Attorney to join its litigation team. This role is ideal for a newly admitted or early‑career lawyer who wants hands‑on courtroom experience and exposure to a diverse range of legal matters.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, pleadings, motions, petitions, contracts, demand letters and legal opinions.
• Assist in developing litigation strategies, preparing witnesses and documentary evidence.
• Attend hearings, mediations, judicial dispute resolution sessions, client conferences and settlement negotiations.
• Represent clients before courts, quasi‑judicial bodies and government agencies as assigned.
• Maintain direct client contact while upholding high standards of professionalism and ethics.

Required profile

• Member in good standing of the Philippine Bar.
• Newly admitted or up to three (3) years of post‑admission experience.
• Strong legal research, writing and analytical abilities.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Willingness to appear before courts and agencies throughout Cebu and nearby jurisdictions.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple deadlines.
• Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, sound judgment and a strong work ethic.
• Eager to learn, receptive to mentorship and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
