Assistant/Associate Professor – AI, CSE Department

About the role

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering – Artificial Intelligence at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus, is hiring qualified candidates for Assistant Professor or Associate Professor positions. The role involves teaching, research, and supervision of PhD scholars in AI and related fields.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in AI, Machine Learning, Data Science and related subjects.
• Develop and update curriculum and teaching materials.
• Conduct high‑quality research, publish in reputable venues and obtain research funding.
• Supervise student projects, theses and PhD dissertations.
• Participate in departmental committees, seminars and outreach activities.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science or a closely related area.
• Strong teaching experience at the university level.
• Demonstrated research record with publications in reputable journals or conferences.
• For Associate Professor: a track record of graduating Ph.D. scholars.
• For Assistant Professor: candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis are eligible.
• Post‑doctoral experience from a top‑200 university is desirable.

Required skills

• Expertise in at least one of the following areas: Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Cyber Security, Robotics, UI/UX, Natural Language Processing, Internet of Things, Knowledge Graphs, Web Analytics, Big Data Analytics, Cloud Computing.
