Assistant Buyer (Freelance, Remote)

About the role

This freelance, remote position supports the Fine Jewelry team’s Buyer in building and executing merchandise assortments that meet sales and profit targets during a defined project window.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Buyer in developing merchandise assortments, sales, and inventory plans for assigned departments.
• Produce sales trend reports and monitor performance against plan, flagging risks and opportunities.
• Enter and manage purchase orders, monitor shipments, deliveries, RTVs, and transfers.
• Maintain vendor pricing updates and accurate vendor records.
• Execute price change authorizations and consignment viewings, coordinating across teams.
• Act as a reliable point of coordination between the Buyer and other departments.

Required profile

• Passion for fashion and luxury goods combined with strong analytical instincts.
• Detail‑oriented with a track record of delivering clean, accurate reporting.
• Comfortable juggling multiple moving pieces such as POs, vendor updates, shipments, and reports.
• Team player who builds strong working relationships and thrives in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
