Assembly Equipment Technician

About the role

The Assembly Equipment Technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a range of high‑precision equipment used in semiconductor, electronics, optoelectronics and fiber‑optics production. You will work closely with the equipment team and supervisors to ensure equipment reliability, compliance and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Perform repairs, preventive maintenance, calibration and documentation for assigned equipment, keeping work instructions and maintenance plans up to date.
• Provide technical production support, monitoring machine availability, PM & calibration hit rates, SPC data, efficiency, yield and quality.
• Lead equipment improvement, modification and cost‑saving projects using data‑driven analysis.
• Present updates at weekly engineering meetings or monthly communications as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in semiconductor, electronics, optoelectronics or fiber‑optics environments.
• Strong understanding of target processes and related equipment.

Required skills

• Experience with Die Attach systems (ESEC Micron, Infotech).
• Wirebonding equipment expertise (Delvotek G5, KNS).
• Operation of Temperature Cycling Chambers, Shear Testing (Dage) and Profile Interferometers.
• C# scripting or equivalent programming language.
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, including reading schematics and diagrams.
• Proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
• Comprehensive equipment maintenance knowledge (repair, calibration, preventive maintenance, training).
