Android Developer (Jetpack Compose & Node.js Backend)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Android Developer who can bridge mobile UI development with backend services. You will own features from design to delivery, creating modern Jetpack Compose interfaces and integrating them with Node.js APIs.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain Android applications using Jetpack Compose and MVVM architecture.
• Build reusable composable UI components, manage state with Coroutines and Flow, and implement navigation, animations, and gestures.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs with Node.js (Express or Fastify), PostgreSQL/MySQL databases, and Dockerized deployments.
• Connect the Android front‑end to backend services using Retrofit, OkHttp or Ktor Client, handling JSON serialization.
• Participate in code reviews, follow Git branching strategies, and ensure code quality across both codebases.
• Profile and optimise app performance, monitor crashes with Firebase Crashlytics, and debug backend services.
• Stay up‑to‑date with Jetpack, Android, and Node.js ecosystem updates and share knowledge within the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of Android development experience with at least one Jetpack Compose app shipped to Google Play.
• Practical experience building or maintaining REST APIs with Node.js.
• Familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
