Air Import Agent

About the role

Join Expeditors' Air Import Department and ensure the smooth, timely movement of freight and information for international shipments. You will provide exceptional customer service while supporting the end‑to‑end import process.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the flow of air import freight to guarantee on‑time delivery.
• Enter and maintain accurate data in the operating system.
• Track and trace import files, using daily workflows.
• Prepare and send required documents to customers or brokers for customs clearance.
• Coordinate billing with clients and service providers.
• Communicate with airlines, trucking companies and other suppliers to maintain strong relationships.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, operational standards and external regulations.
• Respond promptly to internal and external emails and requests.

Required profile

• 6 months to 1 year of related experience or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Understanding of air documentation processes is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Pro‑active attitude with solid organizational skills.
• Fluent English.
