About the role
Brampton Accounting is seeking a proactive Administrative Assistant to support the day‑to‑day operations of its fast‑growing accounting practice. The role is fully remote and ideal for candidates with prior experience in an accountancy environment who are comfortable using BrightManager.
Key responsibilities
- Manage end‑to‑end client onboarding, including preparing engagement letters and maintaining records in BrightManager.
- Chase outstanding client information, update onboarding trackers, and handle HMRC agent authorisations.
- Support Companies House compliance by filing confirmation statements and processing changes to company details.
- Respond to client emails and WhatsApp messages within 24 hours and manage the practice inbox and phone calls.
- Create SOPs, draft client correspondence, and assist senior staff with HMRC penalty appeals.
- Provide basic marketing and social media support (approximately one day per week).
Required profile
- Previous administrative experience within an accountancy practice.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Professional telephone manner and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
