Acquisitions Legal Counsel Specialist

About the role

The Acquisitions Legal Counsel Specialist provides legal support for Accenture’s mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and strategic investment transactions. The role involves conducting legal due diligence, identifying risks, drafting and negotiating transaction documents, and collaborating with internal stakeholders across geographies.

Key responsibilities

• Support M&A and strategic investment transactions by performing legal due diligence and risk assessment.
• Draft, review and negotiate acquisition agreements, target company contracts and related documentation in line with company policies and applicable law.
• Collaborate with M&A deal attorneys, Procurement Plus V&A, Contracting, Legal Integration and other legal teams worldwide.
• Supervise or coordinate small project teams, track deliverables and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Review data‑room materials, including executed client, alliance and supplier agreements of target companies.
• Develop checklists, process documents and training materials for pre‑ and post‑acquisition legal support.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and deal teams on commercial and legal issues, ensuring contract compliance.

Required profile

• Experience in corporate M&A, acquisitions or related legal work.
• Strong analytical abilities to identify legal risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Proven capability to manage or coordinate small teams or work streams.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with internal and external legal professionals.
• Knowledge of relevant corporate, securities and contract law across multiple jurisdictions.
