Accounts Payable Officer

About the role

The Accounts Payable Officer is a key member of the Finance team, responsible for accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, payments, and related financial records. This role supports financial integrity, vendor relationships, and continuous improvement in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices via AP automation platform, ensuring approvals and compliance.
• Code non‑PO invoices to the correct general ledger accounts, aligning with budgets and cost centres.
• Prepare and post monthly accrual journals for unreceived invoices and other AP accruals.
• Execute scheduled payment runs with accuracy and timeliness.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Review and process employee expense claims according to policy.
• Identify and implement automation enhancements in the AP function.
• Maintain accurate records of all AP transactions and ensure compliance with tax, audit, and internal policies.

Required profile

• Proven end‑to‑end accounts payable experience, preferably in a fast‑paced FMCG environment.
• Hands‑on experience with AP automation tools, including OCR capabilities.
• Working knowledge of Infor M3 ERP or similar enterprise systems.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Detail‑oriented with strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
