Accounting Specialist

About the role

The Accounting Specialist will ensure the accuracy and compliance of all financial transactions, support month‑end closing, and assist with tax and regulatory reporting for a global design brand.

Key responsibilities

• Validate and post journal entries, making adjustments as needed.
• Prepare balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and other financial reports.
• Perform timely inter‑company reconciliations.
• Gather and consolidate data for budget preparation and liquidity reporting.
• Review cost allocation data and product contribution margin reports prepared by the Cost Accountant.
• Ensure financial reports comply with IFRS, BIR, BOI, SEC, BSP and other external requirements.
• Oversee corporate tax compliance, support BIR and customs audits, and attend tax investigations.
• Provide tax guidance, stay updated on tax regulations, and recommend compliance improvements.
• Conduct inventory counts and other accounting tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger management, account reconciliation, financial reporting and cost accounting.
• Understanding of cash‑flow monitoring, treasury processes and fixed‑asset control.
• Familiarity with Philippine tax regulations and inter‑company/related‑party accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, dashboards, Power Query, basic VBA).
• Excellent analytical ability, attention to detail and ability to meet reporting deadlines.
