Accounting Specialist – AP/AR Generalist

About the role

The Accounting Specialist is a versatile finance professional who can take full ownership of either Accounts Payable (AP) or Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, depending on business needs. The role ensures accurate, timely reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and strong alignment with internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate purchase orders, delivery receipts, service agreements, and billing documents.
• Maintain correct general ledger coding, cost allocation, and vendor master data.
• Prepare and execute weekly/monthly payment runs, reconcile vendor statements, and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor AP aging, settle supplier invoices, and support month‑end closing with accruals and analyses.
• Validate contracts, rooming lists, banquet charges, and post payments across multiple channels.
• Maintain AR aging reports, manage collections, follow up on overdue accounts, and coordinate credit terms with sales.
• Act as primary contact for vendor and client inquiries, ensuring professional relationships.
• Prepare monthly AR schedules, aging analyses, and revenue reconciliations.

Required profile

• Experience handling full-cycle accounts payable or accounts receivable.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and month‑end closing procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to reconcile complex statements.
• Effective communication skills for vendor and client coordination.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
