Accounting Manager

About the role

The Accounting Manager will lead complex accounting operations across multiple entities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. Working primarily on a night‑shift schedule, the role combines remote work with occasional on‑site days to coordinate with cross‑functional teams. This position is critical for maintaining the integrity of financial data and supporting audit readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end month‑end and year‑end close processes, coordinating with stakeholders across finance, tax and operations.
• Prepare, review and post complex journal entries and high‑impact financial transactions.
• Manage account reconciliations, ensuring timely completion and issue resolution.
• Maintain the accuracy of internal financial reporting and analysis.
• Research and resolve complex accounting issues using advanced GAAP knowledge.
• Coordinate audit activities, maintain documentation and ensure control compliance.
• Drive improvements to accounting policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Lead system implementations, process transformations and finance‑related initiatives.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert for the broader accounting team.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or multi‑entity environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Experience managing complex accounting activities and leading close processes.
• Ability to work night‑shift schedule with occasional on‑site presence.

Required skills

• Proficiency with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
• Experience with general ledger and accounting software.
• In‑depth knowledge of GAAP.
