Accountant – Order to Cash (OTC) Team

About the role

Remitly is seeking an Accountant to join its Order to Cash (OTC) Accounting team. You will support month‑end close, ensure accurate financial reporting, and help improve accounting processes through automation and data analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in cross‑functional projects to enhance accounting systems and reporting infrastructure.
• Leverage automation and AI tools to streamline close activities and improve documentation.
• Create and post journal entries, analyze trends, variances, and financial system outputs.
• Collaborate with business partners on monthly accruals and new initiatives.
• Understand upstream data flows to ensure accurate ledger postings.
• Perform daily and monthly reconciliations to resolve unmatched transactions.
• Maintain internal controls in compliance with Sarbanes‑Oxley.
• Support ad‑hoc financial, audit requests and special projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience; CPA or public accounting experience preferred.
• Strong grasp of accounting fundamentals and interest in process improvement.
• Exposure to ERP systems such as NetSuite is a plus.
• Experience analyzing large data sets with Excel or Alteryx.
• Alignment with Remitly’s mission and values.

• NetSuite (or similar ERP) proficiency.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Alteryx data‑analysis capability.
