Accountant – Full Set Accounting & Reporting

About the role

The Accountant is responsible for managing the full set of accounts and ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial records and reporting. The role covers accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger management, month‑end and year‑end close processes, balance‑sheet reconciliations, statutory compliance, and audit support. The Accountant works closely with operational teams and stakeholders to record financial transactions accurately and in line with company policies and accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end accounting cycle, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and review journal entries such as accruals, payroll, intercompany and other adjustments.
• Complete balance‑sheet and bank reconciliations in line with month‑end reporting requirements.
• Assist in month‑end and year‑end closing activities within agreed timelines.
• Prepare monthly reports and variance analysis to support financial review and business decision‑making.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies, reconciling items and financial variances.
• Ensure financial controls and procedures are operating effectively.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial processes and reporting accuracy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience with exposure to a full set of accounts.
• Experience in a multinational company, shared services or BPO environment is advantageous.
• Experience using ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.
• High attention to detail and accuracy with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
