Accountant – Financial Reporting (APAC/EMEA/LATAM)

About the role

Netflix is seeking an Accountant to join its Manila Financial Reporting team. The role supports the preparation of statutory financial statements and other external reporting obligations for Netflix entities across APAC, EMEA and LATAM, ensuring compliance with local GAAP and IFRS.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating and preparing statutory financial statements under local GAAP/IFRS for Netflix entities outside the United States.
• Prepare and submit statistical survey reports for international entities.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
• Perform financial analysis and reconciliations, including monthly and quarterly flux analysis.
• Execute month‑end close procedures, posting journal entries in local GAAP books.
• Align accounting practices with finance, tax, and legal teams across regions.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders across multiple time zones.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and optimisation of accounting and reporting processes.

Required profile

• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience; experience in a public accounting firm and a multinational environment is a plus.
• Degree in Finance or Accounting and a Chartered Accountant qualification.
• Strong accounting background with the ability to navigate technical accounting guidance under IFRS.
• Experience preparing statutory filing documentation for international entities and leading statutory audits.
• Self‑starter who can work autonomously in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communicator able to build relationships with external advisors and internal teams.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP requirements.
• Experience preparing statutory filings and managing audits for international entities.
• Familiarity with cloud‑based ERP systems, preferably Workday Financials.
