Accountant – Australian Taxation & ERP (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Accountant based in the Philippines to support our Australian‑focused financial services. The role involves handling taxation compliance, preparing financial reports and managing ERP systems for a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Australian GST, income tax and payroll tax, preparing and filing BAS, IAS and payroll tax returns.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, balance sheets and income statements, providing insights for performance improvement.
• Manage financial data using ERP platforms such as Jobpac, Xero or similar, streamlining processes and generating client reports.
• Interact with clients to gather information, answer queries and deliver expert financial advice.
• Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, accounts payable and receivable, identifying discrepancies.
• Conduct financial analysis to uncover cost‑saving opportunities and growth areas.
• Maintain accurate documentation to support audits and compliance checks.
• Stay up‑to‑date with changes in Australian taxation laws through continuous learning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum three years of accounting experience with a focus on Australian tax legislation.
• CPA certification preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems – Jobpac, Xero or comparable platforms.
• Knowledge of Australian taxation compliance (GST, BAS, IAS, payroll tax).
