Software Engineer - FinTech (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join a leading global financial services firm and help modernize its core financial platform. The role is fully remote and focuses on building scalable backend services that process real‑time financial transactions for millions of users.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise backend services for high‑volume financial transaction processing.
• Integrate third‑party financial APIs and payment gateways in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
• Implement security controls to meet financial regulations and data‑privacy standards.
• Write clean, maintainable code and create unit and integration tests.
• Troubleshoot production issues to minimise downtime and ensure system reliability.

Required profile

• Proven experience in backend development for financial or payment systems.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and API design.
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases for financial data storage.
• Experience working with cloud platforms and container orchestration.
• Knowledge of security best practices and financial compliance requirements.
