Patient Service Coordinator

About the role

Helpware is seeking a Patient Service Coordinator to join its Cebu team. In this role you will ensure smooth scheduling and documentation for patient visits, acting as a liaison between patients, clinicians, and referring physicians.

Key responsibilities

• Review scheduled studies ahead of patient visits and verify proper scheduling based on referrals.
• Confirm that all required paperwork, insurance verification, financial clearance, and prior authorizations are completed.
• Ensure clinical documentation, lab results, medical form clearance, and medication cessation are in place for relevant exams.
• Coordinate with technologists, specialists, and referring physician offices, communicating any changes or patient needs.
• Handle appointment confirmations, patient communications, and VIP or overflow scheduling calls.
• Perform additional duties as needed to support efficient operations.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience as a Patient Service Coordinator, medical receptionist, or in a similar capacity.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems (ICD‑10, CPT) – preferably.
• Ability to type at least 40 words per minute.
• Proficient English (minimum B1 level) with excellent written and oral communication.
• High attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
