Ocean Allocation Strategy Manager

About the role

The Ocean Allocation Strategy Manager leads Nestlé's ocean freight processes, ensuring smooth delivery of goods worldwide. You will coordinate volume submissions, monitor allocation performance, and act as the central point of contact for carriers and internal logistics teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee ocean shipment processes and execution.
• Manage volume submission activities and monitor allocation variations against forecasts.
• Utilise Shipment Management Systems to improve operational visibility and collaboration.
• Build and maintain relationships with markets, ocean carriers, and global logistics procurement.
• Ensure allocation submissions are accurate, prioritized, and compliant with service level agreements.
• Consolidate market volume requirements for annual tender processes and perform health checks.
• Communicate awarded volumes, contract details, and transit times to stakeholders.
• Support implementation of new lanes and additional volume requests after tenders.
• Conduct regular allocation reviews with carriers and provide early volume visibility.
• Perform operational health checks and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• University degree, preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in ocean freight allocation, logistics or supply chain management.

Required skills

• Experience with Shipment Management Systems.
• Familiarity with ocean freight platforms and allocation tools.
