Night Manager

About the role

The Night Manager acts as Manager on Duty, overseeing all hotel operations during the overnight shift with a focus on Front Office activities, night audit, and safety/security.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct night audit, verify front office accounting records, and prepare daily financial summaries.
• Post room charges, taxes, and guest transactions, ensuring accuracy in the PMS.
• Monitor Marriott Bonvoy enrollments, rate variance reports, and occupancy capture.
• Perform hotel perimeter rounds, check for fire hazards, and ensure all areas are clean and secure.
• Supervise Front Desk associates, manage staffing levels, and support team development.

Required profile

• Demonstrates leadership, integrity and the ability to guide a front‑office team.
• Ensures compliance with hotel policies, budgeting, staffing and payroll procedures.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Property Management System (PMS) and night‑audit procedures.
• Operation of front‑office equipment such as typewriters and Electronic Data Capture (EDC) machines.
• Cash, check and credit‑card handling and reconciliation.
• Experience with Marriott Bonvoy enrollment system and rate variance reporting.
• Use of Mobile Guest Services platform and GXP case management.
