Mechanical Maintenance Specialist

About the role

The Mechanical Maintenance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of plant equipment and machinery at Pilmico Animal Nutrition. This role involves preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and supporting food safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment, including scheduled lubrication and mechanical fabrication.
• Conduct routine inspections, diagnose mechanical variances, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain spare‑parts inventory, verify quality of received parts, and document all work orders.
• Attend emergency service requests, night calls, and ensure 5S compliance across the plant.
• Supervise contractors, lead equipment start‑ups, and monitor consumptions (fuel, water, power) for abnormalities.
• Support budget adherence, initiate cost‑saving innovations, and ensure compliance with Halal, food safety and quality policies.
• Utilize SAP Enterprise Asset Management (SAP EAM) for work order execution and data reliability.

Required profile

• Mechanical Technology graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years experience in mechanical equipment operation and maintenance, with basic knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Certified Plant Mechanic or equivalent license.

Required skills

• Troubleshooting of plant machinery and equipment.
• Working knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, refrigeration (ammonia), air‑conditioning and air‑compression systems.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawing plans.
• Proficiency with SAP Enterprise Asset Management (SAP EAM) system.
