Jumbo Operator – Underground Mining

About the role

The Didipio underground mine in the Philippines is seeking an experienced Jumbo Operator to run and maintain jumbo drilling equipment safely and efficiently. Reporting to the mining supervisor, you will apply advanced drilling techniques and support the overall underground mining operations.

Key responsibilities

• Implement advanced drilling techniques and technologies to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Train and mentor junior operators, sharing best practices on jumbo operation.
• Skilfully and safely operate other underground mining equipment as required.

Required profile

• Behaviour consistent with OceanaGold values and the OceanaGold Way.
• At least a high‑school diploma.
• Minimum 5 years experience operating jumbo equipment, preferably Sandvik DD421.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Knowledge of mining operations and safety protocols.
• Physical endurance and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
