Indirect Procurement Specialist

About the role

Sulzer is seeking an Indirect Procurement Specialist to manage the sourcing, negotiation and procurement of indirect goods and services such as MRO, IT, professional services and travel. The role supports cost‑effective purchasing strategies, supplier performance management and contract administration to enhance operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and select suppliers for indirect categories (MRO, IT, services, travel, etc.).
• Negotiate contracts and commercial agreements to secure optimal price, quality and service.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
• Manage the full contract lifecycle, including reviews, renewals and terminations.
• Collaborate with internal departments to understand procurement needs and ensure timely delivery.
• Analyze indirect spend, identify savings opportunities and drive efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and external regulations.
• Maintain up‑to‑date procurement systems and supplier databases.
• Prepare supplier performance and spend reports for decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, International Trade or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in indirect procurement, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Analytical mindset with result‑orientation.
