Financial Controller

About the role

Next Staffing Group is seeking a Financial Controller to oversee day‑to‑day accounting for its 20‑person Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) business. The role blends hands‑on accounting execution with financial reporting and analysis, ensuring accurate operations and timely decision‑making for leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger activities.
• Generate and send client invoices, track billable hours, and maintain invoicing records.
• Process payroll, commissions, rebates, bonuses, and ensure timely payments.
• Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash‑flow) and variance analysis against budget.
• Monitor cash flow, reconcile bank and credit‑card statements, and post monthly journal entries.
• Build and maintain the annual budget, track progress, and support year‑end CPA tax filings.
• Coordinate client subscription renewals and annual liability‑insurance renewal.

Required profile

• Proven experience in accounting and finance within a small‑to‑mid‑size organization.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to develop repeatable processes.
• Excellent analytical skills to interpret financial data and support strategic decisions.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with leadership, clients, and vendors.
