Engineering Manager – Go & React (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Engineering Manager to lead a fast‑growing Canadian HealthTech company’s engineering team. The role blends software development with people leadership, with roughly half of the time spent writing code and half on team and project management.

Key responsibilities

• Write, review and ship production‑grade Go and React code.
• Define and evolve the technical architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability and security.
• Lead, coach and grow a multidisciplinary engineering team.
• Own sprint execution, agile delivery and roadmap planning.
• Maintain high standards for DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, privacy and security.
• Collaborate closely with product, sales, customer success and executive stakeholders.
• Support hiring, onboarding and professional development of engineers.
• Translate technical decisions into clear business outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a software engineer with a track record of delivering complex products.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor engineering teams.
• Strong engineering fundamentals and a passion for both code and people management.
• Comfortable working in a fully remote environment.
