AVP for Store Expansion & Business Development

About the role

The Assistant Vice President for Store Expansion & Business Development will drive nationwide growth for a QSR/retail brand. Reporting to senior leadership, the role is responsible for identifying strategic locations, managing the full site‑acquisition pipeline, and executing expansion plans across multiple concepts.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement expansion strategies aligned with corporate growth targets.
• Lead market‑penetration initiatives, scouting new geographic opportunities and building short‑ and long‑term pipelines.
• Conduct end‑to‑end site acquisition: market scanning, property sourcing, site evaluation, and commercial negotiations.
• Perform trade‑area analysis, demographic studies, competitor assessments, and financial feasibility/ROI calculations.
• Negotiate leases, renewals, and commercial terms with landlords, developers, and mall operators.
• Coordinate with construction, operations, finance, legal and marketing teams to ensure timely store roll‑out and opening.
• Lead, mentor and set performance targets for the business development and site acquisition teams.
• Present pipeline updates and strategic recommendations to senior executives.

Required profile

• Highly analytical with strong quantitative and market‑analysis capabilities.
• Relationship‑oriented and able to build and maintain partnerships with property owners and brokers.
• Proven leadership experience managing cross‑functional expansion projects.
• Ability to drive aggressive growth programs while ensuring commercial and operational alignment.
