About the role
The Assistant Director of Events Management will support the Director in leading the hotel’s events team and driving revenue through strategic sales initiatives. Based at Shangri‑La The Fort in Manila, the role focuses on delivering high‑impact conventions, incentives and local events that align with the hotel’s marketing plan.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Events Management in setting and achieving overall event sales revenue targets.
- Lead and coordinate the Events Management team to execute sales strategies outlined in the Marketing Plan.
- Develop and implement event‑specific sales tactics for convention, incentive and local market segments.
- Monitor performance against revenue goals and adjust approaches as needed.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of sales and marketing experience in an international hotel environment.
- At least 2 years in a comparable leadership or assistant‑director role.
- Proven ability to create event strategies that maximise sales opportunities and revenue growth.
- Strong knowledge of P&L reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Creative, detail‑oriented, outgoing and people‑focused with a self‑starter attitude.
- Unrestricted right to work in the Philippines.
