About the role
The Talent Acquisition Senior Onboarding Specialist supports the TA Operations function by designing and executing onboarding policies and programs. Acting as a subject‑matter expert, this role mentors junior onboarding staff, drives process improvements, and ensures a seamless transition from final interview to the employee’s first day.
Key responsibilities
- Draft, review, and issue official employment agreements with accurate salary, start date, and terms.
- Initiate, monitor, and follow up on background verifications, including criminal, employment, education checks, and drug screenings.
- Ensure all pre‑employment activities comply with regulations such as FCRA, EEOC, and data‑privacy standards.
- Create employee records, process internal movements, and verify Right‑to‑Work documentation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates during the pre‑boarding process, addressing queries and preventing fall‑outs.
- Collaborate with recruiters, hiring managers, IT, and external vendors to facilitate smooth onboarding.
- Manage complex onboarding cases, resolve red‑flag background issues, and handle high‑level inquiries.
- Identify workflow gaps and implement improvements to boost efficiency and candidate satisfaction.
- Mentor and support junior onboarding specialists, auditing data entered into ATS and HRIS for accuracy.
Required profile
- 2‑4+ years of experience in HR onboarding, talent acquisition support, recruitment administration, or HR service delivery.
- Experience in shared services, RPO/BPO environments, or call‑centre settings is preferred.
- Tertiary degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong adherence to defined workflows and high attention to detail.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Experience using Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
