Supplier Quality Engineer

About the role

The Supplier Quality Engineer will manage and improve the processes for selecting, qualifying, and overseeing internal and external material suppliers. You will ensure compliance with global qualification plans, drive corrective actions, and support continuous improvement across the supply base.

Key responsibilities

• Manage critical direct materials such as lead‑frames, tape and reel, mold compound, ceramic DBC, wire, solder paste, etc.
• Supervise incoming QA activities, first‑article buy‑off, and IQC MRB inspections.
• Resolve supplier technical issues promptly to maintain supply continuity.
• Lead suppliers in implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Conduct supplier audits to standardize processes, eliminate waste, and drive improvement.
• Monitor and improve supplier quality performance, setting short‑ and long‑term goals.
• Maintain quarterly Supplier Performance Scorecards, audit records, and global SQE KPIs.
• Initiate continuous‑improvement projects for SQE processes.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering within a high‑volume semiconductor manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with automotive quality standards (TS16949/IATF16949/VDA 6.3) preferred.

Required skills

• TS16949/IATF16949/VDA 6.3 Lead Auditor certification (preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
• Proficiency with quality methodologies: 8D, Lean, 5 Why’s, Pareto Analysis, Six Sigma, PFMEA.
• Hands‑on experience with Power BI, Microsoft List, Power Automate, Tableau.
• Working knowledge of AI tools applied to quality processes.
