Strategy & Planning Manager

About the role

The Strategy & Planning Manager will own the analytical and intelligence work that guides Maya’s leadership decisions. This role blends deep market and competitive analysis with the execution of strategic programs, ensuring insights translate into actionable roadmaps.

Key responsibilities

• Produce recurring intelligence outputs for the Management Committee and executive leadership.
• Continuously monitor the competitive landscape, tracking product launches, campaigns, financial results, and regulatory changes.
• Analyze peer and competitor financial statements to assess balance‑sheet strength, loan quality, profitability, and digital momentum.
• Synthesize findings into concise, insight‑driven narratives for senior decision‑makers.
• Lead strategy workshops and develop thought‑starter themes, risks, and opportunities for annual and long‑term planning.
• Support high‑impact “Big Bets” initiatives and drive end‑to‑end planning cycles anchored on forecasts.
• Ensure strategic priorities are translated into cross‑functional roadmaps across Business, Operations, Product, and Technology.
• Own governance, workstreams, and delivery of strategic programs, engaging business units with an analytical lens.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance or related field; MBA or graduate degree is a plus.
• 4–6 years of experience in strategy, research, or financial analysis, preferably from management consulting, corporate strategy, equity research, or a tech/fintech environment.
• Proven ability to produce high‑quality analytical outputs independently.
• Excellent written communication skills, capable of delivering executive‑ready memos without heavy editing.
• Experience presenting findings to senior stakeholders and working in fast‑paced, matrixed organizations.
• Self‑directed, naturally curious, and comfortable managing recurring deliverables without micromanagement.
