Software Engineer - FinTech (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join a global leader in financial services, focusing on building and maintaining core financial platforms that enable real‑time transactions for millions of users worldwide. This fully remote, full‑time position involves designing scalable backend solutions and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise backend services for financial transaction processing.
• Integrate third‑party financial APIs and payment gateways with cross‑functional teams.
• Implement robust security measures to meet financial regulations and data privacy standards.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following software engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to minimise downtime and maintain system reliability.

Required profile

• Proven experience in backend development using Java, Python, or Go.
• Background with financial transaction systems, payment processing, or related domains.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and API design.
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerisation technologies.
