Software Engineer - FinTech (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join a leading financial services firm and help build the next‑generation platform that processes real‑time transactions for millions of users worldwide. The position is fully remote and offers the chance to work on high‑impact backend services in a fast‑moving FinTech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise backend services that handle financial transaction processing.
• Integrate third‑party financial APIs and payment gateways in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
• Implement security controls to meet financial regulations and data‑privacy standards.
• Write clean, maintainable code and conduct code reviews following engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot production incidents to minimise downtime and ensure system reliability.

Required profile

• Proven experience building backend systems for financial or payment processing domains.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, micro‑services architecture and API design.
• Ability to write unit and integration tests and deliver reliable, high‑performance code.

Required skills

• Java, Python or Go programming.
• PostgreSQL, MySQL or MongoDB databases.
• Cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP or Azure.
• Containerisation with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Version control with Git and CI/CD pipeline experience.
