Senior Tax Resolution Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Senior Tax Resolution Analyst to support case preparation and financial analysis for IRS representation matters. This behind‑the‑scenes role focuses on organizing client data, analyzing financial information, and assisting the Enrolled Agent with accurate, well‑structured work.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain organized digital client files, ensuring all required documents are collected and stored.
• Review income, expenses, and assets to calculate estimated disposable income and identify financial patterns.
• Examine IRS transcripts, flag unfiled returns or discrepancies, and prepare concise case summaries.
• Assist in identifying potential IRS resolution options and gather information for final determination.
• Prepare internal documentation, complete multiple years' tax returns, and support bookkeeping as needed.
• Prepare clear internal notes, follow up on missing documentation, and coordinate next steps with the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (preferred).
• At least 5 years of experience in tax, accounting, bookkeeping, financial analysis, or related fields.
• Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in handling financial data.
• Ability to follow structured processes, SOPs, and case preparation procedures.
• Methodical organizational and analytical skills.
• Basic understanding of financial concepts such as income, expenses, liabilities, and cash flow.
