Senior Tax Accountant (Australia)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to support our Senior Client Manager in delivering high‑quality tax and accounting services for Australian businesses. This remote, permanent position offers the chance to lead a diverse team while applying advanced tax strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Client Manager in completing tax and accounting engagements.
• Perform and review individual returns, year‑end financial statements, and tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, individuals and superfunds.
• Delegate tasks, train junior and intermediate accountants/bookkeepers, and ensure work meets 90‑100% completion standards.
• Identify tax, GST and accounting issues and apply minimisation strategies.
• Support the Assistant Client Manager in technical matters and occasional client meetings.

Required profile

• Minimum several years of experience in Australian tax and accounting.
• Proven ability to manage and develop a team of junior to senior accountants/bookkeepers.
• Strong knowledge of all Australian tax entity types and related compliance.
• Experience with superannuation processing, BAS, IAS and payroll.
