Senior Associate Accountant

About the role

The Senior Associate Accountant will primarily process and review P2P transactions, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, vendor invoices, payment runs, and travel expenses. The role ensures high‑quality service delivery while adhering to Surbana Jurong’s standards, policies, and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate simple transactions for accuracy, compliance with controls and accounting policies.
• Investigate and resolve transactional issues in coordination with supervisors and colleagues.
• Prepare reconciliations of selected accounts and flag discrepancies to senior accountants.
• Create and amend vendor master data.
• Support audit activities by providing required documentation.
• Perform preliminary checks and data entry for payment runs.
• Communicate with stakeholders on purchase orders, invoices, and expense claims.
• Validate supporting documents for completeness and correctness.
• Suggest process improvements and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPA, MBA) are a plus.
• 3‑5 years of experience in finance shared services or BPO environments.
• Experience with purchase order processing, vendor invoice handling, goods receipt, intercompany invoicing, vendor maintenance, account reconciliations, and payment processing.
• Ability to work under pressure, handle ambiguity, and maintain professionalism.

Required skills

• Experience with SAP MM/FI (2‑4 years preferred).
• Familiarity with Epicor and Concur.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
