Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Specialist – Manila

About the role

The Online Communications Unit (OCU) of the International Organization for Migration in Manila is seeking an SEO Specialist to enhance the visibility and performance of IOM’s web properties. You will work under the National Website Content Management Officer and the Head of OCU, using data‑driven insights to improve organic traffic and search engine rankings.

Key responsibilities

• Develop an SEO content strategy that incorporates AI, Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) based on thorough keyword research.
• Implement on‑page optimizations, ensuring meta tags, headings and content structures align with targeted keywords and search engine guidelines.
• Lead off‑page activities such as guest blogging, influencer outreach and backlink acquisition to boost site authority.
• Collaborate with the Sr. Website Assistant to measure results across organic channels and adjust tactics.
• Produce monthly performance reports for digital leadership and contribute to internal reporting.
• Provide basic SEO guidance and knowledge sharing within the team.

Required profile

• University degree in Communication, Digital Communications, Digital Marketing, Specialized SEO Training or related field with at least four years of relevant experience, OR high school diploma with six years of experience.
