Resident Engineer – Dams & Grouting (International Expert)

About the role

We are seeking an International Expert to serve as Resident Engineer for dam and grouting works. The role will be based in Mandaluyong City, Philippines, overseeing the construction and monitoring of large dam and hydropower projects.

Key responsibilities

• Verify that all completed works meet project specifications, material standards, workmanship quality and safety requirements.
• Supervise all grouting activities, including contact, consolidation and curtain grouting, ensuring compliance with grout mix designs and quality‑control testing.
• Manage daily construction tasks such as embankment building, excavation and grouting operations.
• Advise and monitor drilling and grouting techniques, mix designs and grout effectiveness.
• Interpret foundation bearing capacity, permeability tests and geological samples, and operate instrumentation for dam monitoring.
• Oversee geotechnical testing, instrumentation installation and analysis, and ensure materials conform to contract specifications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geotechnical or Structural Engineering; Master’s in Geotechnical or Hydraulic Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in dam engineering and grouting, with prior Resident Engineer or similar role on large dam/hydropower projects.
• Familiarity with international standards such as ICOLD and FIDIC.
• Strong leadership, communication and reporting abilities.
