Remote Accountant / Bookkeeper (QuickBooks)

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant/Bookkeeper to manage our financial records remotely. The role involves handling bookkeeping, tax filings and payroll using QuickBooks while ensuring compliance with regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update financial records using QuickBooks.
• Prepare and file tax returns in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.
• Process payroll and prepare payroll returns accurately and on time.
• Perform general bookkeeping tasks, including recording transactions, reconciling accounts and generating reports.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Monitor and analyze financial data to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Collaborate with the finance team for timely financial reporting.
• Stay updated on tax law and accounting regulation changes.
• Support audits and liaise with external auditors as needed.
• Ensure confidentiality and security of financial information.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Accountant with a focus on QuickBooks, tax returns and payroll.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations and payroll processes.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus.
