Project Inspector – Road Works (Pakil)

About the role

The Project Inspector – Road Works Engineer will lead on‑site inspection, supervision and coordination of all road‑related works for dam and hydropower projects in Pakil. The role ensures that access, haul and permanent roads are built safely, to design, specification and quality standards while supporting HSE and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Implement project‑specific HSE plans and enforce permit‑to‑work systems.
• Inspect earthworks, subgrade, pavement layers, drainage, slope protection and related structures.
• Verify compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications and standards.
• Monitor contractor workmanship, materials and construction methods; identify non‑conformances and recommend corrective actions.
• Witness material testing, compaction tests and conduct field inspections.
• Coordinate daily with resident engineers, HSE staff, contractors and client representatives.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly inspection reports, NCRs and photographic records.
• Support preparation of as‑built, completion and hand‑over documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Highway Engineering or a related discipline.
• 7–10 years of experience in road, highway or infrastructure projects.
• 3–5 years of construction‑phase experience with responsibility for inspecting access, haul and permanent roads for hydropower projects.
• Proven experience inspecting earthworks, embankments, cut slopes and pavement works.
• Experience working with contractors and supervision consultants.
