Medical Information Specialist

About the role

ProPharma is seeking a Medical Information Specialist to provide accurate, evidence‑based medical and safety information to patients, healthcare professionals and pharmaceutical partners. The role is fully remote and supports a US‑aligned service window, handling enquiries via phone, email and approved channels.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to medical and safety information enquiries from consumers, healthcare professionals and other external customers.
• Provide accurate responses using approved labeling, standard response documents, published literature and other approved sources.
• Identify, document and report adverse events, pregnancy reports, special situation events and product complaints in a compliant manner.
• Log all enquiries promptly in the relevant inquiry handling systems.
• Support quality and compliance by ensuring documentation aligns with SOPs and client practices.
• Assist in drafting or tailoring medical information responses as needed.
• Collaborate with the wider team to meet turnaround times and service standards.

Required profile

• Life science, nursing or pharmacy degree (RN/BS/BA/MS).
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Comfortable handling medically focused conversations with external stakeholders.
• Good understanding of medical terminology, pharmacology and regulated environments.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately within defined timelines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
