Laboratory Strategic Planning Implementation Officer

About the role

The National Laboratory Strategic Planning Implementation Officer will support the rollout of the Philippines’ National Laboratory Strategic Plan (2025‑2030) within the Department of Health’s Office for Health Laboratories. The position is funded under the USG Global Health Security STRIDES activity and will be based in the Philippines.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical and coordination support for the implementation of the National Laboratory Strategic Plan.
• Coordinate with DOH hospitals, Centers for Health Development, and National Reference Laboratories on governance, workforce development, and quality‑system initiatives.
• Monitor implementation milestones and prepare policy and technical documents for senior leadership.
• Facilitate stakeholder consultations and report progress to the NLSP Steering Committee.
• Contribute to mid‑term and end‑term assessments of plan implementation.
• Ensure all outputs comply with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and remain confidential to DOH‑OHL.

Required profile

• Experience in public‑health laboratory systems, strategic planning, or related coordination roles.
• Familiarity with government health structures and laboratory governance frameworks.
• Strong analytical and reporting abilities.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and adhere to strict confidentiality standards.
