HSE Inspector – Construction Projects

About the role

SurBana Jurong is seeking an experienced HSE Inspector to support Project P, a high‑profile construction and infrastructure initiative. The role focuses on ensuring safety compliance across all site activities and fostering a culture of zero incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular site safety inspections, audits, and compliance monitoring for contractors and subcontractors.
• Identify hazards, perform risk assessments (HIRA/JSA), and implement appropriate control measures.
• Monitor high‑risk activities such as excavation, work at height, lifting operations, confined‑space entry, and concrete works.
• Investigate incidents and accidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and prepare corrective and preventive action reports.
• Review and enforce method statements, risk assessments, and permit‑to‑work systems.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of local and international HSE regulations, codes, and standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) or Occupational Health and Safety.
• Relevant HSE/OSH certification (NEBOSH, IOSH, DOLE OSH or equivalent).
• First Aid & Emergency Response training.
• 5–8 years of HSE experience in construction, infrastructure, dam or hydropower projects.
• Proven track record of conducting site inspections, audits, and compliance monitoring.
