About the role
The Customer Service Assistant – New Accounts will operate the new‑accounts counter in a branch, delivering efficient and friendly service for account opening, deposits, and related transactions. The role requires strict adherence to internal policies, regulatory standards, and the bank’s code of ethics.
Key responsibilities
- Greet and serve all clients at the counter with a warm, professional demeanor.
- Execute basic new‑account functions, including opening deposits, account maintenance, and acceptance of supplies.
- Act as primary holder of the Vault teller user ID, validating cash transfers to/from the vault and Cash Center using the BDS‑SIBS system.
- Serve as alternate custodian of keys and combinations as designated by the Area Head.
- Verify client identity, especially for withdrawals, check encashments, and representative transactions.
- Prepare cash requisitions, transfer excess cash to the vault, and ensure all transfers are supported by approved slips.
- Validate cash received from the vault and reconcile cash on hand.
- Accept cash, check deposits, and various payments for both peso and FCDU accounts.
Required profile
- Graduate of any four‑year degree program.
- Strong communication skills in both English and Filipino.
- Prior experience in basic branch frontline functions is preferred.
Required skills
- Proficiency with the BDS‑SIBS banking system.
