Controller – Audit‑Focused (Remote, Philippines)

About the role

We are seeking a high‑performing Controller to lead audit‑ready financial reporting for multiple high‑growth startup clients. This remote, full‑time position supports senior CFOs by taking full ownership of audit preparation under US GAAP, working directly with Big 4 auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare end‑to‑end audit‑ready financial statements and working papers for 50–70 startup clients.
• Assemble complete PBC packages with clear referencing, traceability, and documentation.
• Lead reconciliation of material balance‑sheet accounts, including revenue recognition, accruals, payroll/equity entries, and fixed‑asset capitalization.
• Perform full tie‑outs between trial balances, lead sheets, and financial statements.
• Identify audit risks and gaps proactively, resolve issues independently, and communicate directly with Big 4 auditors.
• Support monthly and year‑end close processes at a controller level.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with a CPA designation.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, including Big 4 or top‑tier audit firm exposure.
• Strong hands‑on experience preparing audit files and working directly with auditors.
• Practical, application‑based knowledge of US GAAP.
