CAPEX Buyer

About the role

As a CAPEX Buyer you will lead the sourcing, negotiation and procurement of capital‑expenditure items for a food manufacturing plant. You will work closely with engineering, operations, finance and quality teams to ensure equipment, construction, utilities and automation projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end procurement for CAPEX projects, from RFQ/RFP preparation to supplier selection, contract award and delivery.
• Evaluate technical and commercial proposals together with cross‑functional teams and negotiate commercial terms.
• Maintain and monitor supplier and contractor performance, ensuring quality, compliance and safety standards.
• Coordinate with engineering and project teams to align procurement schedules with project timelines.
• Prepare bid evaluations, drive cost‑saving initiatives and ensure proper documentation and contract compliance.

Required profile

• Graduate of an engineering, supply‑chain, business administration or related 4‑year degree.
• 3–5 years of procurement experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, industrial manufacturing or project‑focused environments.
• Experience with CAPEX or project procurement, preferably in construction, MEPF, utilities or production equipment sourcing.
• Strong business acumen, project‑management and communication skills.
