Amazon Category Specialist

About the role

Sunco.com is seeking an analytical and results‑driven Amazon Category Specialist to lead growth, profitability, and performance of assigned product categories on Amazon. The role combines listing optimization, advertising, pricing, and cross‑functional coordination to drive sustainable revenue and margin improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Own category performance metrics including revenue, profitability, and key KPIs.
• Develop and execute quarterly and annual growth plans for the category.
• Optimize product detail pages (titles, descriptions, images, A+ content, storefront) to boost conversion rates.
• Conduct keyword research and manage backend search terms to improve organic rankings.
• Monitor search rankings, BSR trends, and overall category performance.
• Partner with advertising teams to plan, launch, and optimize Sponsored Ads campaigns (SP, SB, SD).
• Design pricing and promotional strategies that protect margins while staying competitive.
• Track competitor activity, manage catalog health, and resolve listing issues.
• Coordinate inventory levels with supply‑chain teams to prevent stockouts and protect rankings.
• Analyze data from Amazon Business Reports, Brand Analytics, and Search Term reports and translate insights into actions.
• Produce regular performance reports with insights and recommendations.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Amazon marketplace management, e‑commerce growth, or category management.
• Hands‑on experience with Seller Central, Brand Registry, and Amazon Ads platforms.
• Proven ability to manage multiple SKUs or categories at scale and drive revenue growth.
• Strong analytical skills and data‑driven decision making.
