Accounting Manager – Davao City

About the role

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Accounting Manager to lead our accounting function for a growing group of businesses in Davao City. The successful candidate will oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting activities including bookkeeping, payables, receivables, reconciliations, and general ledger review.
• Prepare accurate monthly financial statements, management reports, and cash‑flow analyses.
• Monitor expenses, budgets, inventory movements, and profitability across business units.
• Ensure timely compliance with BIR, government, and statutory requirements.
• Review and strengthen internal controls to prevent errors, fraud, cash leakage, and inventory losses.
• Supervise and guide accounting staff to improve accuracy, discipline, and accountability.
• Coordinate with operations, sales, purchasing, inventory, and management for proper documentation and reporting.
• Utilize QuickBooks for recording, reporting, reconciliation, and financial monitoring.
• Support owners and management with financial analysis and decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Management Accounting, or related field.
• At least 5 years of accounting experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of BIR compliance, financial reporting, cost control, inventory accounting, and internal controls.
• Experience in food, bakery, restaurant, commissary, retail, or multi‑branch operations is highly preferred.
• Detail‑oriented, trustworthy, analytical, and able to meet deadlines.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
