Accountant – Australian Taxation Specialist (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Accountant based in the Philippines to support our Australian clients. You will apply your knowledge of Australian taxation and manage financial data using leading ERP platforms, ensuring compliance and delivering high‑quality client service.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Australian tax laws, preparing and filing BAS, IAS and payroll tax returns.
• Assist in preparing financial statements, balance sheets and income statements.
• Manage financial data in ERP systems such as Jobpac, Xero or similar, generating reports for clients.
• Interact with clients to gather information, answer queries and provide expert financial advice.
• Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, accounts payable and receivable.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify cost‑saving opportunities and growth areas.
• Maintain accurate documentation to support audits and compliance checks.
• Stay updated on changes to Australian taxation legislation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum three years of accounting and taxation experience, preferably with Australian tax laws.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Excellent communication and client‑service skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, multitask and prioritize effectively.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems (Jobpac, Xero or similar).
• Knowledge of Australian tax compliance (GST, BAS, IAS, payroll tax).
• Financial reporting and account reconciliation.
• Financial analysis and documentation.
