Team Lead, Internal Controls Assurance

About the role

The Team Lead, Internal Controls Assurance will head Global Internal Controls Assurance (ICA) testing for the Finance function, ensuring the adequacy, efficiency and effectiveness of financial accounting and reporting controls. Reporting to the Manager, Internal Controls Assurance, the role is based in Manila and/or Cebu and includes people‑management responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and monitor a risk‑based test plan aligned with the Global ICA framework.
• Lead and execute ICA testing, special investigations and ad‑hoc management requests.
• Support implementation of Global ICA initiatives to improve efficiency and quality.
• Collaborate with Finance stakeholders to understand needs, manage expectations and evaluate processes.
• Review and finalize testing findings for inclusion in ICA reports and record issues in Insight.
• Coach, develop and supervise direct reports, ensuring compliance with ICA and QBE policies.
• Assist senior leaders in defining KPIs and performance measures for the ICA team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in internal controls, finance assurance or related fields.
• Demonstrated people‑management and leadership capabilities.
